Gris Pardo Reference Project: Nation Towers in UAE
The Nation Towers is a luxury project in UAE and an international reference for Gris Pardo, a direct alternative of the popular Azul Valverde limestone.
This massive construction was sponsored by International Capital Trading and it includes two skyscrapers that were built with over 2.200m2 of Gris Pardo in an extensive cladding process. The distinctive shape of this project was inspired by two elements, waves and sand. The concept was then achieved through a rectangular shape with curving facades and culminating crests that seem to crown the towers. All the shapes and effects were made with Gris Pardo in several finishing types, such as 50mm honed panels.
The Nation Towers are located on a prime waterfront plot on Abu Dhabi’s Corniche and they’re currently one of the tallest buildings in Middle East. The project was fully completed in 2013 and it soon became a luxurious spot with high-profile apartments, offices, a shopping mall and a five stars hotel.
The Nation Towers were designed by WZMH Architects and supplied by SGM with a total cost of 435M USD. Additionally, the architect group won an international design contest with their plans.
